Users can browse webpages simply by selecting the links on the top of the page such as \u201cAbout Us,\u201d \u201cLatest News,\u201d or search by keywords. The users may use \u201cBasic Search,\u201d \u201cAdvance Search\u201d or \u201cTags\u201d to navigate the information needed. While \u201cBasic Search\u201d is conducted by google searching engine to display all the contents of the website (including PDF file), \u201cAdvanced Search\u201d allows users to refine their search results by adding author, title, abstract or keywords of article. Users may also use \u201cTags\u201d to view content of similar interest. <\/p>\n<p>Users may click the rotating images in the homepage to enlarge the picture for more details and introduction. In addition, by clicking the title of article, users will be directed to the pages for the abstract and keywords of selected article, alternatively, users may click the link next to the title to download the full text. In order to provide users with professional information, users are able to find links and information about our partners, international journals of the history of ideas in East Asia and other related academic resources in \u201cInternational Partners\u201d and \u201cRelated Publications.\u201c \u201cSearch\u201dand \u201cTags\u201d will be useful tools for users to navigate the issues and content of interest.<\/p>\n<p>In \u201cAll Issues,\u201d users will find all the published issues of the JHIEA and read the full text of the selected issue online, which includes:<br \/>\n1.\tEditorial Report: Introduction to all the sections and published articles of the designated issue in both Chinese and English.<br \/>\n2.\tSpecial Articles: including influential papers recommended by the advisers and the members of Editorial Committee.<br \/>\n3.\tFeature Articles: including an introduction to and articles on a featured topic curated by international scholar.<br \/>\n4.\tResearch Articles: presenting articles related to the study of ideas in East Asia and\/or the inter-linguistic engagement between East Asia and other countries\/regions of the world .<br \/>\n5.\tResearch Notes on Keywords: featuring on chronicle reviews on the conceptual lineage of keywords and the etymology of modern new terms in the form of entry.<br \/>\n6.\tOld Articles, New Translations: presenting translations of important articles related to the study of ideas by early scholars with introductions by renowned scholars of relevant fields.<br \/>\n7.\tDigital Humanities: presenting articles that introduce new issues, methodologies and perspectives to the research of the history of ideas in East Asia by applying innovational digital humanities technologies and research methods, outlining the comprehensive historical picture of the interplay between \u201cideas, discourses, events and actions\u201d in East Asia.<br \/>\n8.\tResearch Newsletters: providing a platform for the scholars and researchers to exchange ideas and to give and receive feedbacks. It includes a wide range of articles such as research summaries, book reviews, commentaries on important documents and databases, latest research findings and academic development around the world, conferences proceedings and news coverages.<\/p>\n<p>The articles in the JHIEA cover extensive topics, issues and categories. They introduce the Western theories of history of ideas\/conceptual history, discussing the current development and trends of analytic theories, and investigating how the theories and methodologies were introduced to East Asian context to inspire the research of ideas\/concepts in East Asia; address issues related to the transmission and dissemination of ideas in East Asia in a global context; focus on translation as a trans-lingual and transcultural practice which examines the contexts where rendition is produced and received; or explore the formation of modern ideas\/concepts in the light of nation, gender and memory, and the relationship between ideas, literature, image and space. The category \u201cSpecial Articles\u201d of JHIEA includes a substantial amount of influential papers by renown international scholars. Apart from research findings by contemporary scholars, as the academic heritage is highly regarded by the JHIEA, the category of \u201cOld Articles, New Translations\u201d is set to present translated renditions of important research papers related to the study of history of ideas by early scholars with introductions by researchers. It has presented works translated from Japanese, English, French, and Czech language. The featured topic of each issue of JHIEA is curated by an international scholar and  covers a significant issues. In 2014, the JHIEA set up a new category \u201cDigital Humanities,\u201d which is unprecedented in Chinese speaking world, to introduce innovative digital humanities technologies and methodological approaches and encourage groundbreaking research in a era of paradigm shift to open up the horizon for the study of history of ideas.<br \/>\nFurthermore, the articles in \u201cResearch Newsletters\u201d which include reviews on research projects, books, important documents and databases, and coverages of academic development around the world enable users to have a better understand on the current situation of academia and research trends in the history of ideas.
