Abstract |
Jiang Jiesheng(江絜生)has been a pupil of Zhu Zumou(朱祖謀), a famous Ci-poet of Late Qing and Early Republic, and after his arrival at Taiwan in 1952, he immersed himself in the art of writing Ci, and lectured on Ci works. All these activities achieved an immortal cultural landscape in the city of southern Taipei. A Glimpse of Side Stories of Penglai《瀛邊片羽》is his collected works of poetry and Ci published in 1983. While being mainly inspired by what happened in Taiwan and to Taiwanese, the core of its poetic heart focused on the nostalgia for the homeland mainland China, the remembrances of things past. This essay aims to analyze the collection of these Ci works from the perspectives of his times, friendships, landscapes, homeland and homesickness.
